BKAYDesign's overarching concept for this gallery was to separate each conflict by using a range of camouflaged patterns and colour combinations, while maintaining a consistent graphic style throughout.
The innovative armoured panels that line the interior walls provide a striking and unique backdrop to the gallery. The information panels are, in contrast, clean and modern. Large images and maps have been used throughout to give the visitor a sense of the people, equipment and conditions that define each area.
Objects are displayed in large vertical cabinets that recess into the walls.
Fifteen large mannequin cabinets present carefully selected uniforms, equipment and firearms against a backdrop that provides depth and context to the display.
Audio Visual displays are utilised throughout the gallery, with BKAYDesign producing four fully animated programs that tell the stories of significant battles from both the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
